About UH APALSA.
The Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) at the University of Houston is a vibrant and inclusive student organization dedicated to promoting awareness, dialogue, and advocacy around issues affecting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. While rooted in the the AAPI community, APALSA proudly welcomes members of all backgrounds and strongly encourages engagement from anyone with an interest in the community.
We continually strive to foster meaningful conversations about the legal, social, and political challenges facing AAPI individuals—both domestically and internationally. Whether through speaker panels, networking events, cultural celebrations, or community service, APALSA provides a space for students to explore the complex intersection of identity, law, and policy.
We also support our members professionally through mentorship opportunities, resume workshops, and access to a growing network of alumni working in public interest, private practice, and government sectors.
By building connections among students, alumni, and practitioners, APALSA strives to empower the next generation of legal advocates committed to equity, inclusion, and justice for all.
