AABA of Houston: 2024 Gala & Silent Auction

On September 20, 2024, the Asian American Bar Association of Houston gathered with the community at Hotel ZaZa Museum District for their annual Gala.

We were deeply honored to welcome keynote speaker Dale Minami, renowned civil rights attorney and founder of the Asian Law Caucus Inc., who led the historic effort to overturn Fred Korematsu’s wrongful conviction. Dale’s lifetime commitment to justice has earned him prestigious awards such as the ABA’s Thurgood Marshall and Spirit of Excellence Awards, NAPABA’s Trailblazer Award, and the ACLU’s Civil Liberties Award.

The proceeds from our silent auction were dedicated to the Asian American Bar Foundation (AABF), which last year awarded a record-breaking $56,000 in scholarships to law students and grants to local community organizations.
